Steps to reproduce:
- Download a 3D QML project. For example this.
- Convert the project into a Qt Quick application by following this documentation.
- Build the app and look at the memory usage during build. If there is no memory, it crashes. In my experience, 64 GB of swap space was required in addition to 32 GB of memory.
Expected Result:
The project builds successfully and produces an executable.
Observed Result:
The project does build successfully, but consumes more than 80 GB of memory + swap in the process.
