QtDataVisualization import not available (module not found)

When trying to use e.g. a Surface3D component that requires an QtDataVisualization import won't work. Design Studio says the module cannot be found. 

I checked the bin/qml folder and QtDataVisualization is missing. I'm not sure if it's supposed to be available or not, but the example(s) shipped with QDS doesn't say something specific is required to make it available.
