Business justification

The Qt Design Studio key host platform is MacOS as big portion of designers are using Mac as their designer platform. The Qt Design Studio provides major value for embedded development but today the designers can live preview on embedded devices only when the Design Studio is run on a host where QDB (Qt Debugging Bridge) is available. Thus majority of designers cannot use live preview on actual target device.

Implementation requirement(s)

In Qt Design Studio running on a Mac host, it must be possible to live preview the design on an embedded target same or similar way to what is possible on a Windows or Linux host.

Note: We are not planning to bring full QtDC support on a Mac host, atleast not as part of this requirement.
