Poor performance with large amount of files & sub directories

A project with large amount of files (~12k) and a few thousand sub directories doesn't seem to get loaded in QDS in a reasonable amount of time. On my machine the project didn't get loaded in 15 minutes and after that I just closed QDS.

When cutting the number of directories and files in half the project could be loaded but the performance within design studio is very poor when:

• Switching from design view to edit view
• Editing imports for QML files

In both cases QDS freezes for a significant amount of time.
