Copying material properties should store the current value at copy time and pass that instead of a reference to a property

Currently copy/paste of material properties reads the copied values at the time of pasting, and always reads the base state value. This causes issues when copy/paste is done in other states or property value is changed between copy and paste..

Copying the value should read the current value according to the state/timeline and paste that value at paste time.
