find a way to have multiple versions of the control

Currently you are limited to one control style per project, similar to QQC Styles themselves, it could be useful to have multiple buttons / sliders / whatever per project. It would be good to understand how that is possible. Note that this concept is in opposition to QDS-7880 so we would need to decide if this is an either / or situation in the end.
