When adding your own QML component to a form then the bounding rectangle for it is too big

      When adding your own QML component to a form then the bounding rectangle for it is too big. This does not happen with the provided Qt Quick items, just custom components.

      In the example, open Screen01.ui.qml and then drag an instance of Footer over to it and toggle the boundaries to see the issue.
