Study if it is possible to track consumer usage statistics in a resolution of milliseconds

      In the current implementation of tracking usage statistics, the delta between start and stop time is stored in resolution of seconds. This could prove problematic for some consumers, like coco, which can have processes with a runtime of only milliseconds.
