Regression: daemon port file handling is backwards incompatible on Windows

    Description

      The 3.3.0 version changed the creation of the port file, so that the file created by daemon is a lock file simultaneously. This file cannot be read by older client library versions, as it requires specific share mode flags when opening the file on Windows.
