Pre-check library that off-loads SSL communication

It might be good to consider creating the "pre-check" library which off-loads the SSL communication to the program (client) that it is using it.
Maybe the library itself does not have to take care of the communication itself.
The clients could provide the secure connection and the lib could operate on top of this layer.

In this way we could use Qt and benefit of the dynamic (OS) SSL libraries, and probably still work on different Linux platforms as well.
