A customer requested a feature to allow for release of a Squish license from the Squish IDE if the user is idle for a long time and does not interact with the Squish IDE.
Since we want to have license handling unified as much as possible across all Qt products this is likely something to consider in the overarching licensing scheme if that is a feature we actually can (technically) and want to (business-wise) support. So I extended the title to talk about all UI tools that acquire licenses (i.e. QtCreator, Design Studio, Test Center, Coco etc.)
In Squish's License Server is currently covered by the LeaseTimeout in the license server to an extent. But this timeout may lead to mistaken license releases and annoyance on customers end if they need to request the license again frequently.
