Make sure that there won't be accidental changes.

E.g. set read-only property for the files in the sharepoint when those are approved. And have clear location for the branched versions.

The same applies to confluence pages. Maybe own space could be considered, where all have read-only data, but only the designated project members can edit the data. And after approval, change the page to read only state. (in case there is a need to update the page after the approval, it can still be done by removing the read only state temporarily)
