Qt 3D Studio 1.1 RC1, Qt 3D Studio 2.0 BETA1, Qt 3D Studio 2.1
Description
After installing Qt 3D Studio 1.1 RC1 from online installer to custom directory of <username>/Qt3DS-BETA1 (as I couldn't install it on top of existing Qt installation in default folder). The icons for Qt 3D Studio are not visible in the Launcpad. This makes finding and launching the editor quite unintuitive as one has to navigate to the /Users/<username>/Qt3DS-BETA1/Qt3DStudio-2.0.0/bin folder and double click the QT3DStudio.app file.
With offline installer, the default install directory is underneath username/Applications/. This location is automatically scanned by macOS Launchpad and it discovers the .app files in there automatically and adds them. This is why the offline installer "just works", but our online installer needs to do additional work (for also Qt Creator and any other tools installed from on-line installer).
