Component's apparent animation duration is zero

Create a presentation with e.g a single cube. Make the cube a component. Add a simple position animation for the cube. Notice how you can't drag the playhead, though the animation time does change if you do; it just doesn't move. Also, timeline bars indicate the animation is longer than parent animation.
