Custom material documentation does not cover shader variables

Documentation does not have detailed descriptions for the Global Variables. The name often is not descriptive enough to understand what the variable represents and there are no comments about which variable undergoes which transformations. In order to effectively use those variables, I need to find their definitions in the source code to see how they are initialized. Expected to see an initialization of the variables or the description of the variables in the documentation.
