Effects relying on .dds texture maps are not ideal

      There are 7 .dds files under Effect Library/maps/effects. Shipping .dds compressed textures is not ideal since these will not work on many mobile and embedded devices.

      For example, trying to run the (otherwise useful and good looking) corona effect on an NVIDIA Shield TV (Tegra X1, OpenGL ES 3.2, Android 7.0) with runtime 2.0 is futile, the effect will not show up on the layer since the texture is likely disfunctional due to failing to create the compressed texture under the hood.
