QT 5.15.2 and recent mobile devices running Android 11 (API 30) = FAILURE

    Description

      It's been all described in 

      here

       

      In short... our app is DEAD because on QT 5.15.2 (the most recent version you allow Open Source users to use) throws with Sig Abort the moment it starts, WHEN targeting API 30+, and guess what? API 30 is the min API version now required by Google Play Store.

       

      SE::AbortException: Invalid code

      The very fact that you do not allow open source users to access versions containing bug-fixes (5.15.3+)- as that's what later versions seem to be all about (i.e. no new features) is beyond us.

      So let me ask you straight - does the COMMERCIAL license have this fixed?

       Now, same exectuable when targeting API 30, ALL it takes for it to BLOW is to retarget the Android API to 30 in its Manifest file.

      Notice:

      • Sig abort Invalid Code
      • the 'file does not exists' error
      • org.qtproject.qt5.android.network.QtNetwork is not found (we don't use it anyway)
      • Could not load shared library symbols for /system/lib64/libboost.so... and then 'file not found right after'. Is it that Qt attempts to load /system/lib64/libboost.so even though it's missing ?

       is it that logs from gdb are being throttled in some way?

      in addition we've just noticed:

      right before the app quites.  it  seems like a one time thing though. the app has camera permissions granted.

       

      Update:

       

      thiago suggested that the issue might have anything to do with QT's Multimedia (which used to be and probably still is broken Big Time, which is why we implemented our custom stuff, back in the days to, handle both iOS and Android the right way). Anyway, just to assure everyone that the bug is a general one and has nothing to do with Qt's Multimedia sub-system we have disable Audio-related stuff of our own. It blows when initializing QApplication, right in the face.
