In the Image Viewer example, do File->Open, and select "PNG image (*.png)" category. Observe that the png files are still unselectable, instead the files of the preceding category (jpegs) are selectable. Similarly, in order to select a tiff file, one must choose the following (ICO) category.

Tiffs are not accepted or cant be openend.
I tried imageViewer example from Qt 15.5.8 Attached 2 screenshots.
Test1 = try to open *.tif
Test2 = try to convert PDF to Tiff
