Have a look at the attached example.

It shows a combo box with a completer attached that complete UTF8 names in Ascii.

That is you can complete Lukáš by typing Lukas

That works fine, but when you press arrow down in the listbox, then it updates the line edit with the ascii version, rather than the UTF8 version. See attached GIF for what happens.
