With https://codereview.qt-project.org/c/qt/qtdeclarative/+/403314 qmlcachegen runs into an infinite loop when searching for the base type of various types in QtQuick.Dialogs. This is because dialogs has ambiguous types and we don't manage to properly reject them. Therefore, we get cycles in the type hierarchy.
