See attached animations of "Qt Quick Examples - Drag and Drop > GridView" (https://doc.qt.io/qt-6/qtquick-draganddrop-example.html ): The Debug build has correct behaviour; the Release build has wrong behaviour.
It appears that while the drag is active, the wrong coordinates get generated in Release mode.
Attached animations are from Windows 10 Pro 21H2 x64. Customer reported the same results on macOS.
