What does it mean by "On embedded Linux, the required set of plugins could be somewhat different."?

This sentence leaves a lot of ambiguity and readers would have absolutely no clue on which multimedia backends are preferred for embedded Linux.
I think for the official document to have this kind of vague statement is a big no no.

Who could readers rely on if the official Qt document gives them just this little piece of information? 

I think we need to elaborate on this.
