Crash: flicking through tesla app switcher

This was seen with qt-qml HEAD at c25737a44fb22668c67568eefb61c72457166dfe
and tesla HEAD at d24db2abaeddb9c4f54c096bc3429365e8925adf

After starting the tesla demo, click the "home" icon. Click each of the four application
icons at the bottom of the screen so that the switcher contains five applications (press
"home" to get back to the switcher). Flick back and fourth in the switcher list and press
the G key on the keyboard repeatedly, and notice how after a while the demo exits
unexpectedly.
