Online installer is very slow when used from certain regions

    Description

      It takes several minutes at every step: fetching metadata before the add/update/remove options are given, the add and update options, updating the installer itself, etc. I'm on a 100mb/s connection. I've been waiting at least 10 minutes just to get to the point where I can actually get the option to download a Qt package due to the updates.
