      Re-opening to figure out two first points

      • multiple reasons contribute to the flickering experience - Plausible
      • major reason is not a bug in Qt - Plausible - could this be in Android itself? And what from there?
      • backing store optimization is likely to help, but will not remove the root cause. It’s a very invasive approach.
      • flickering occurs on small devices (phones) only
      • bug is probably simulator-only
