Why
Qt framework doesn't offer any modern icons at the moment for Qt examples or for application development. Providing icons would help application developer to get started with Qt and also make Qt examples look holistic and more modern.

What
Purpose is to create basic set of icons that are minimalistic and modern looking. Icon library should be delivered as svg, icon font and pngs.
