Right now it is hard-coded that the previous item becomes selected. It would be nice if there was a mode where the next item could be selected instead. This is the behavior, for example, in Outlook Express and KMail lists.

Could this be style-dependent?
In Windows explorer, the above item becomes current, but not selected, since pressing arrow up will show the item above that again as selected.
