MediaPlayer / QMediaPlayer does not play remote files or streams (http)

      6.5.0 beta 2, with default (=ffmpeg?) backend: The Media Player Example and the QML Media Player Example play local files, but not remote files. Neither http://*.m3u8 nor http://*.mp4 nor http://* mpegts streams.

      Example:
      http://devimages.apple.com/iphone/samples/bipbop/gear3/prog_index.m3u8
      https://download.samplelib.com/mp4/sample-10s.mp4

      or any http stream (mpegts format, not hls).

      When selecting http Urls then the error message"Could not open file" is shown.
      When selecting https Urls then the error message "https protocol not found, recompile FFmpeg with openssl, gnutls or securetransport enabled." is shown in the Debug/Console output.
