Qt3D Wireframe example does not work on the NXP i.MX8

The Qt3D example Wireframe does not work on the NXP i.MX8 QuadMax MEK device. With QT3D_RENDERER=opengl set the result is a blank white screen.

Using the default RHI backend the result is a log output:
