API in QTest that generates actual native events on each platform

I'd love an API in QTest that generates actual native events on each platform. That we cannot test our QPA event translation layer is a real weakness. There will probably still be shortcomings (such as making such "fake" native events trigger the native input method handling), but it would go a long way.
