Settings tab in Thermostat example behaves oddly

In the Thermostat example, the settings tab can have some strange behavior. If the application window is made small enough, the light/dark mode switch will be placed at the top of the application, and the settings tab will have no use. In this case, it will just steal the page icon highlighting if you click on the settings icon, but this only goes for the vertical layout of the sidebar. If it is the horizontal layout, clicking the settings icon in this case will not do anything, not even highlight it.
