In the Graph Gallery example, in the "bar graph" page, there is a fixed portion of the graph area which will select the pillar for January 2015 if you left-click anywhere on this area that is not another pillar. This behavior takes place independent of graph settings, graph orientation, etc. The area is always the same relative to the application window.

This behavior only occurs with January 2015. If you have chosen to only display the months for one specific year, left-clicking this area is only able to select January if it is in 2015.

Expected behavior:

Left-clicking this area should not select any pillar if you are not left-clicking on a pillar.

Observed behavior:

Left-clicking anywhere within the red area that is not a pillar will select January 2015.
