Android 14 predictive text is broken for Gboard (on target)

Reproduction:

1. Open the gallery example
2. Deploy to a physical device which uses the Google Keyboard (Gboard) and Android 34 (others may suffer as well from this, but only repro'd on 34)
3. Go to the TextArea page and remove all text from the box
4. Type a word that will be auto-corrected, like Rhere (->There)
5. Click the suggestion (There)
6. Notice nothing happens.

Notes:

• The suggestion must have changes that are before the current cursor position in order to repro
• We repro'd on 6.6.0 and 6.6.1, both with Android 34
• Can't repro on any emulators (x86_64: API 30, 33, 34)
• The text isn't underlined like in other keyboards, so there's some issue with the preedit text going on.
