Changing selectionColor or selectedTextColor properties cause no change in TextInput drawing

TextInput which has some of it's text selected does not redraw itself after selectionColor or selectedTextColor properties have been updated. Same properties work as they should in TextEdit element. See attached qml file as example. TextInput element remains invisible (painted black) when TextInput is drawn correctly on the screen.
