In the attached test app, the right rectangle is a painted item. When rotating, the edges are jagged. This happens independently of the setting of the smooth and aa properties.

If running with the default (rhi) backend, the behaviour is as expected: edges are smooth if the smooth property is enabled, otherwise jagged.
