Description
steps to reproduce:
- open player example
- select file
- play file
behaviour:
- the audio stream starts at the position of 2000ms instead of starting immediately
- dragging the position slider can cause (a) the audio playback to stop and (b) the pipeline to hang (position is not updated). this typically happens a few seconds after the last position updates
observations:
- this only happens with pulsesink. alsasink does not show this behaviour, even when using the alsa's pulseaudio plugin to play via pulseaudio.
sometimes gstreamer floods the terminal with skew correction messages
