QListView: in IconMode does not handle viewport sizing correctly

If a few items are selected in a QListView and dragged internally outside the viewport edges there are no initial scroll bars appearing. They do appear after the widget is manually resized though. Also, the viewport is not resized back to it's initial size if the items are moved back to their original position.
