Full support for VxWorks 24.03

What is the benefit? Why is this valuable?

VxWorks has been on the rise, competing with QNX while INTEGRITY has been declining. We have several key customers using VxWorks and Qt6 is a requirement from credible maintenance perspective.

Also the pipeline for VxWorks is looking ok, with untapped potential in several industries such as medical and in particular automotive where Aptiv acquired Wind River and is looking to expand their currently very low market share.

What are common use cases?

Embedded development for VxWorks, aerospace and medical industries in particular, also automotive foreseen due to the APtiv acquisition of WindRiver.

Technical information

several key patches from WR are coming to 24.03 version of VxWorks.

Hardware platforms are:

-iMX6 initially for ARM, will be eventually phased out by iMX95

-iMX95 when available for ARM

-TigerLake NUC for x86, before drivers are available, Skylake NUC as it is working on 5.15 side
