QFileSystemWatcher doesn't react on file content modifications in directory

In Qt documentation we can read :
"Similarly, the directoryChanged() signal is emitted when a directory or its contents is modified or removed."

But when I change file content in monitored directory there is a dead silence, watcher is not emitting any signal.
