SystemTrayIcon is visible on win7 , but invisible on older windows

Hello ,

I am reporting a problem - the system tray icon is visible under windows 7 , however not visible on older windows - server 2008 ... 2000 .

The meaning on 'not visible' - there is something placed in the system tray, however with the same gray color, and not the icon image; there is tool-tip message, and right click menu - this works;

To reproduce the problem you can build the 'systray' sample and run it under different os-es .

How do we solve this?
