    Description

       

       

       

      WebUSB is an upcoming and experimental Javascript API so web pages can access and utilize

      non-standard USB devices directly, bypassing the need for native drivers or middleware.

       

      possible use cases:

      • programming microcontrollers via web page
      • device firmware upgrades via web page without system device drivers
      • control 'smart' devices
      • POS systems printing directly to USB thermal printers

       

      Currently Chrome only.
