Delegate factory method

When you have a list that has items which differ a lot, it would be nice to be able to choose a delegate component to be instantiated for this specific item. This could be a javascript function that gets called for the list model item in question and which would then return the suitable component.

If a single delegate component is used to display a plethora of different types of list items the delegate easily becomes overly complex, cluttered and/or wasteful.

Can we have this, please (pretty please )?
