Examples cannot be loaded from mirror

If user is behind a firewall outside EU there can be situation that downloaded assets from download.qt.io cannot be reached (firewall, mirror etc)

We need

1) better error handling instead of showing a red icon on the download

2) alternative ways to download the example assets if the primary methods are not working
