As the documentation at http://doc.qt.nokia.com/4.7-snapshot/qdeclarativemodels.html#qlist-qobject states: "The properties of the object are not replicated in the model object, since they are easily available via the modelData object.". While true, this can be a gotcha when using different types of models, as the behavior is different from the other models. Unless there is compelling reason to continue with this difference, we should try to eliminate it.
