Make the version selector in the online docs always visible

We've received multiple customer comments and suggestions about the version selector. They recommend that it should always be visible so users don't need to scroll to the top of the sidebar to change the documentation version.

Additionally, remembering the selected version between page loads would further enhance the user experience.
