[REG Qt 6.9] Wayland: QCompleter popup closes application with protocol error

      1. Compile and run attached application: completer.tar.gz
      2. Write "a" in combobox
      3. Press backspace

      Result: Application closes with protocol error:

      [destroyed object]: error 2: the surface already has a role assigned xdg_popup
The Wayland connection experienced a fatal error: Protocol error

       

      Other information:

      • application doesn't close with error on Qt 6.8.3
      • key repeating doesn't work when completer open or close
