VKB: Entering English characters followed by Digits automatically converts to chinese

With the virtual keyboard when using the Chinese language (Simplified Chinese Layout). When entering English characters followed by digits, the previously entered characters are automatically converted to Chinese. However, if  "Enter" is pressed before entering the digits, the characters do not change to Chinese. Notably, even though predictive text is disabled in the application for input fields, for Chinees layout its still visible.
