better navigation support

    Description

      By "navigation" I mean changing the displayed section of the data ( = changing the ranges of the axes ) by the user interactively. This might be done by:

      • rubberband selection ( rectangle )
      • panning ( mouse or keyboard )
      • scaling ( mouse wheel, keyboard )
      • ...

      A comfortable solution often comes with stacking the sections so that you can jump back and forth.
