Nested View3D causes the 2D content to not be rendered in the main View3D. This is also affected by where in the code the nested View3D is placed. 2D content placed before the nested View3D is as expected, but any 2D content placed after it is not rendered. There is an example to reproduce this issue and a picture of what is the expected and how it looks now.
