When Universal style or FluentWinUI3 style is applied, the Qt Quick application uses Segoe UI Variable instead of the application's default font, whereas other Qt Quick Controls styles (Basic, Fusion, Imagine, Material, Windows) and Qt Widget application use the default font.
This behavior can be reproduced by running the attached example app with Qt 6.9.1, on Windows 11.
Such behavior may lead to UI design issues, especially when dealing with non‑Latin languages other than English, European languages, Greek, or Russian.
Microsoft also highlights this and recommends using alternative fonts tailored for non-Latin languages. For example:
